About Darren Campbell
Darren Campbell MBE is one of Britain's most successful athletes with 12 major championship medals.
Not only has he enjoyed individual success, including European Championship gold in 1998 and Olympic 200 metres silver in Sydney 2000. Darren was also part of Britain's most successful relay team, winning the European Cup in 1999 and 2000 and the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Their crowning achievement was taking gold at the 2004 Athens Olympics, the first British team to do so since 1912. The team's time of 37.73 seconds still stands today as a European record.
Darren works with numerous charities, using sport to improve the lives of disengaged young people. He has also given sprint training to Manchester United, Chelsea and Everton, as well as the Saracens and London Wasps rugby clubs.
